Genese & Craft process

The love of craft

The diptychs are related to a historical spiritual symbolic and ancient bas-reliefs.
The tableaux conjure up the cycles of life and has been infuenced by the way time has been experienced differently during 2021.
This collection is articulated around an exercise of style demonstrating the process of creation by the reinterpretation of the rythm of a matrix over multiple mediums,
imbued with a poetic tension.
Virginie Knysak used the technique of assemblage, deconstructing the movement. She refers to the constructivism & orphism artistic movements.

Stemming from the Art Decortifs heritage,
she nurtures the use of traditional techniques (sketches, drawings, hand painting, etc) whilst she includes into the craftmanship the newest technologies (CAO et DAO, laser cutting, digital milling machine, etc).
She unites art, sculpture and design approach. These subtle encounters create a distinctive style.
